Sampson is an 18-month-old Mastiff with the body of a tank and the heart of a goofy, lovable puppy. Weighing in at 136 pounds, he’s a big boy who still thinks he’s lap-sized—and don’t be surprised if he leans into you like you’re his favorite armchair. Chin scratches? He lives for them.
Sampson is great with other dogs and loves to play, though he’s still learning how to read their signals. His enthusiasm can be a bit much for cats and small kids, so he’s looking for a home without either. What he is looking for is an experienced owner who understands big dogs and can help guide him as he matures into the amazing companion we know he can be.
With some structure, continued training, and a whole lot of love, Sampson is going to make someone very, very lucky. If you’ve got the time, patience, and heart (and maybe a strong leash!) for a big dog with a big personality, Sampson’s ready to be your new best friend.
